Lunch Bar Quins are through to the Impala Floodies semi final after beat Mwamba at the Impala Club on Saturday 11 October.

This match started at a frenetic pace, big hits early on from both sides but it is Quins who settled quickest, asking questions of Mwamba, forcing the black shirt in a series of errors that resulted in an 8th minute penalty attempt that Quins fullback Kevin Keegan missed. Keegan would eventually open the scoring five minutes later, scoring off his second goal attempt.

William Mawira scored the game’s opening try, touching down eleven minute from half time with Keegan converting from a tight angle to make the scores 10-0.

Mwamba were not out of it, their pressure resulting in a Nick Ongeri try just before half. George Mutuku converted to narrow the margin to three points at the break.

Shaban Ahmed would then draw Mwamba level with a penalty six minutes into the second half before Keegan and Ahmed traded penalties to bring the scores to 13-13.

The Keegan inspired Quins would head into the game’s home stretch the hungrier side, Ernest Ngog scoring from a rolling maul with Keegan converting for a 20-13 lead. Mawira would land his brace, pouncing on a loose ball to score under the posts with Keegan converting and adding a penalty to secure the result.
