Top Fry Nakuru reached the cup quarterfinal at the Impala Floodlit Tournament with a 29-10 win over Blak Blad at the Impala Club on Saturday 1 October 2016.

After a sedate first half, Nakuru lock Wayne Mungei’s unconverted touch down was the only difference between the two sides at the interval.

Charles Odhiambo and Charlton Mokua’s converted tries after the break saw Nakuru go 17-0 up before Odhiambo landed his brace, the Wanyore going 22-0 up.

Sammy Warui, on as a second half substitute, scored Nakuru’s fifth try, Martin Muita landing his second conversion of the afternoon to give his side a commanding 29-0 lead before easing off in the dying moments, allowing Blak Blad to get points on the board, first through Levy Amunga’s penalty before Stormy Odhiambo barged over, Amunga adding the extras as Nakuru sailed to the cup semis, Blad dropping to the plate.
