The fight to secure the final playoff spot goes down to the final round of the Kenya Cup’s league phase after all three protagonists Kabras Sugar, Mwamba and Resolution Impala Saracens all registered bonus point wins on Saturday.  

These results ensured that the status quo in relation to league standings and point related statistics remained constant heading into match day 13 on Saturday 21 February.

Kabras Sugar made the 400km road trip to Nairobi worthwhile, defeating hosts Kenya Harlequin 27-10 to stay fourth on the table with 41 points.

Mwamba stayed fifth with a 78-3 demolition job of Blak Blad, pushing their points tally to 39 while Resolution Impala Saracens held their nerve in Kakamega, surviving a backlash from hosts Western Bulls, emerging 26-24 winners in an entertaining match.
