Champions Kabras Sugar rallied from a  10-17 deficit at the interval  to first tie the game in regulation time before posting a 22-17 win over hosts Menengai Cream Homeboyz in Kenya Cup semifinal action at the ASK Jamhuri Park on Saturday 8 April 2017.

The deejays raced into a 5-17 lead before Kabras regrouped, landing just before the interval for a 10-17 half time scoreChampions Kabras Sugar rallied from a  10-17 deficit at the interval  to first tie the game in regulation time before posting a 22-17 win over hosts Menengai Cream Homeboyz in Kenya Cup semifinal action at the ASK Jamhuri Park on Saturday 8 April 2017. before tying the game with a converted try in mid second half.

The two sides were locked in a 17-17 stalemate at full time before Kabras struck the all important try in the first period of extra time and held on to this lead to the end, reaching  their third successive Kenya Cup final while setting up a repeat of the 2014/15 final with KCB who vanquished Quins 19-12 in the other semifinal at Ruaraka.
