Mombasa Sports Club became the first team to be relegated from this season’s Kenya Cup after failing to honor their match 12 fixture against Homeboyz at the RFUEA Grounds on Saturday.
The coastal side who returned to the top flight last season for the first time since the 2007 season are bottom of the table, having lost all 12 of their outings to date.
They have a –4 points tally for failing to honor fixtures against Total Nondies and Homeboyz respectively and cannot reach their closest opponents Catholic Monks and Mean Machine who still have a lifeline heading into the final round of the regular season fixtures next weekend.
