Mwamba stayed in the hunt for playoff qualification, pulling off an 18-5 win over Strathmore Leos in the early kickoff at the ASK Jamhuri Park on Saturday 18 March 2017.
It was Mwamba who opened the scoring, George Mutuku drilling home a penalty for an early 3-0 lead before former Western Bulls backrow Elkeans Musonye barged over to put the Leos 5-3 up.
Alex Aturo would see Mwamba retake the lead for good, touching down to see the side ahead 8-3 at the interval.
Mutuku would add a second penalty before converting Marvin Odembo’s try to confirm the result
