Champions Top Fry Nakuru labored to defeat newly promoted Kabras Sugar 13-10 in a match day two encounter at the Kakamega High School on Saturday afternoon.
The Wanyore had come into this fixture off the back of a 112-6 whitewash of the Catholic Monks on match day one and were expected to issue similar treatment to the Kabrasians and instead had to contend with a stubborn, well drilled side that restricted them, eventually conceding when Martin Owilla touched down with Allan Odiyo converting for a 7-0 half time score.
Odiyo would add two penalties either side of two unconverted Kabras tries to give his side the result that sees them place third on the log with 9 points.
