Pan Africa Strathmore Leos: WLWWLLL

KCB come into this fixture keen to extend their recent dominance over Pan Africa Strathmore Leos as they gun for a repeat appearance at the Kenya Cup championship match on Saturday 14th March. They posted a 38-17 result over the Leos on 7th February and hold the psychological advantage heading into Saturday’s encounter.

They are without Max Adaka who is serving a one match ban after being sent off against Top Fry Nakuru on 21st February but Head Coach Curtis Olago still has in his ranks Philip Wamae and Elly Mukaizi in his backrow. Kenya Sevens skipper Andrew Amonde will probably slot in for Adaka.

Pan Africa Strathmore Leos qualified third on the log, just edging out Kabras Sugar by way of a superior try count after both sides tied on points. Mitch Ocholla’s charges witnessed a slump in form, losing four of their last seven outings, three of these on the trot and must rise to the occasion if they are to return to the championship match for the first time since 2013.

The Leos will most probably welcome back Billy Odhiambo, Tonny Owuor and Mike Wanjala from Kenya Sevens duty while relying on combative backrow Charles Omondi and flyhalf Kenny Andola to lead their charge against the bankers.

Both sides will name their match day squads on Friday.
