The Championship league enters week 15 with a heated battle for the top position in the league. Leaders Catholic Monks will host Resolution Kisii RFC who are second on the log.

The two are separated by two points with Monks having 42 while Kisii sits with 40. Third place USIU make the long journey to Ukunda where they play South Coast Pirates USIU had a good outing last weekend beating JKUAT 41-5 while South Coast Pirates suffered a 7-10 loss. This weekend they should be seeking redemption from that loss.

The weekend’s Varsity derby in the league sees 10th place JKUAT Cougars welcome University of Eldoret to their Juja grounds. The two are in the bottom half of the championship table with UoE having gathered a total of 14 points and is placed eighth in the standings so far while JKUAT has been on the receiving end of losses and managing to pull off one win throughout the season, that has them totaling to six points. The fourth fixture sees Moi University make the 13 hour journey down to Mombasa to meet hosts Mombasa RFC. Mombasa lost 7-10 last weekend while Moi walked away with a 10-7 win over the Kenny Andola’s charges last weekend.

The matches will kick off at 4:00PM in their respective venues.
