Crucial away wins for Bulls, Kisumu as Championship action continues
Promotion chasers Western Bulls and Kisumu registered crucial away wins as  the penultimate round of the KRU Championship league phase continued on Saturday 7 April 2018.
The results all but guaranteed the two sides Top Six playoff qualification as they eye a return to the country’s top tier league next season.
Kisumu pulled off a one point victory in Ukunda, edging hosts South Coast Pirates 23-22 while Western Bulls were 29-17 winners away to USIU in Nairobi.
Catholic Monks also won on the road, defeating hosts University of Eldoret 27-6 as did Egerton Wasps who overcame a spirited JKUAT Cougars 23-20 in Juja.
Runaway leaders Menengai Oilers were too strong for visitors Ngong Warriors, posting a 46-10 home victory. Mean Machine benefited from a 24-0 walkover after Moi University’s no-show.
