On Saturday22nd November 2025, thye Kenya Cup kicked off with six top tier league matches taking place in 4 regions within the country.
The defending Champions Kabras RFC kicked off their first match day with a convincing 67-06 victory over their region based counterparts MMUST Rugby. In Nakuru City, the Menengai Oilers thrashed the newly promoted Daystar Falcons 76-16 to cement their slot bin the leading top 5 Kenya Cup Clubs in the 15s league.
In Kenya’s Capital City, fans were spoilt for choice as they had four equally enticing matches for them to go watch. On Thika Road, the match of the day saw hosts KU Blak Blad welcome Strathmore Leos to the Blad Bin with the visitors walking away with a 32-30 victory. At the KCB Sports Club Ruaraka, KCB Lions thrashed Impala 87-05, on Ngong Road the Kenya Harlequins narrowly edged out Nakuru RFC 23-18.
At the Ngong Race Course, hosts Nondies RFC beat Kisumu RFC 36-12 to wrap up day one of the 2025/2026 15s league seasons.
With this being the first match day of the 15s season, all participating clubs still stand a chance to lift the overall trophy come April 2026. We look forward to having an extremely competitive season across the board.
