Kenya Cup action continues this weekend on 24th January with encounters lined up across the country. The action kicks off along Thika Road at the Bladbin where Blak Blad host KCB. The hosts will be keen to extend their winning streak after edging Nondescripts on match day five, while KCB arrive determined to remain in the hunt among the top flight contenders after missing out on a bonus point win last weekend. Along Ngong Road, Kenya Harlequin take on second placed Menengai Oilers at the RFUEA Grounds in what promises to be a stern test for the hosts.

A varsity derby headlines the action at Strathmore Sports Complex in Madaraka where Strathmore Leos welcome Daystar Falcons, fresh from securing their first win of the season. In the Rift Valley, Nakuru RFC play host to log leaders Kabras at the Nakuru Athletics Club in a clash set to test Nakuru’s resolve. Further west, Impala travel to Kisumu to take on Kisumu RFC and complete the Kenya Cup match day six line up. The fixture between Nondescripts and MMUST has been postponed and will be played on a later date to be communicated in due course.

The Eric Shirley Shield also takes center stage beginning with the Eastern Conference where Nondescripts host Blak Blad at Ngong Racecourse in a repeat of last weekend’s Kenya Cup fixture. A short distance away, Kenya Harlequin face Impala at the RFUEA Grounds with kickoff set for 12 noon. At Strathmore Sports Complex, Strathmore Leos play Daystar Falcons at 2 PM. In the Western Conference, Nakuru RFC will take on Kabras Sugar at the Nakuru Athletics Club as MMUST host Kisumu RFC at Masinde Muliro University.

Action continues in the KRU Championship with several  fixtures on the card. Zetech Oaks host NYS Spades at 3 PM at Zetech University, while JKUAT Cougars battle Catholic Monks in a varsity derby in Juja. South Coast Pirates travel to the capital to face Homeboyz at the RFUEA Grounds as Mean Machine welcome Mwamba RFC at the UON Grounds, famously known as the Workshop. Kisii RFC make the long journey from Nyanza to the Coast to play Mombasa RFC, while USIU Martials host Western Bulls at the USIU Africa Grounds to round off the weekend’s action.
