Match day seven of the Kenya Cup is shaping up to be a proper rugby weekend with big clashes at both ends of the table. All eyes will be on the Clash of the Lions as KCB welcome the Red Lion Nondescripts at The Den KCB Sports Club in Ruaraka in a meeting that promises high octane action. KCB are riding on confidence as they look to stretch their winning run while Nondies arrive wounded after a bitter loss to KU Blak Blad. Sitting sixth on the table and just at the edge of the playoff bracket the Red Lion know this is a massive moment in their season and a win could be the spark they need to get their campaign back on track. Elsewhere Menengai Oilers host KU Blak Blad in Nakuru with the Oilers keen to keep their momentum going as they sit second on the log. Over in Kakamega Kenya Harlequin head west to face log leaders Kabras Sugar at the ASK Showground.

Down at the foot of the table the survival battles take centre stage with a string of fixtures that could shake things up. In Kakamega MMUST host Kisumu RFC at Masinde Muliro University with the students anchored at the bottom on four points while Kisumu sit one place above with six. In Athi River Daystar Falcons who are ninth with seven points welcome Nakuru RFC who are tenth on six points in a clash where the outcome could significantly reshape the lower half of the standings. The final fixture of the round slightly away from the relegation drama sees Strathmore Leos who are fifth and in the playoff zone host Impala at Impala Grounds along Ngong Road with the Leos looking to cement their position and Impala keen to climb up from eighth.

The KRU Championship also serves up a full menu of action with NYS Spades hosting USIU Martials at the NYS headquarters as Mombasa RFC make the long trip west to face bottom placed Western Bulls. Former Kenya Cup side Mean Machine travel to Kisii for a date with Kisii RFC while table toppers Mwamba RFC will be out to maintain their winning run when they welcome Homeboyz to the Goan Institute. JKUAT Cougars head south to take on South Coast Pirates in Diani before Catholic Monks and Zetech Oaks round off match day seven with a varsity derby at the Catholic University in Karen.
