Shamas Rugby Foundation currently sit top of the Nairobi Region Clubs standings table with a total of 25 points. They have secured bonus point wins in their first five matches and welcome the Hurricanes to their backyard on Saturday. Hurricanes are currently third on the log with 22 points off five wins, picking up two bonus points on the way.
Neighbors Vandals and Swaras will serve up the first Ngong Road derby match of the day. Swara is second on the log with a backdrop of five out of five wins collecting a total of 24 points on the way. Vandals on the other hand have won two of their five encounters so far gathering a total of 12 points.
Eighth placed Stingers RFC host Ngong RFC in week six, the two are separated by eight points with Stingers having three points to their name while the sixth placed Ngong RFC have a total of eleven points off two wins and two losses.
Elsewhere, Comras takes on Masaku as the hosts continue their search for their first win of the season while Masaku tries to secure their second win. Fifth placed Dagoretti Bulldogs take on Stormers who are currently last on the log.
The top four teams in the Universities’ category will face off on Saturday in their respective match venues. Daystar Falcons who suffered their first loss of the season on 30th November in the hands of Administration Police welcome third placed Cooperative Farus to Athi River.
Daystar, despite the loss, are still top of the log with 25 points and behind them we have MKU Nairobi, Cooperative Farus and Administration Police all three having 24 points each. Second placed MKU Nairobi host Administration Police who sit in the fourth position. MKU is placed second due to their superior point difference and additionally, they have a game at hand.
Catholic University Monks II have won two of their five matches and will be out to earn their third as they host KCA University while sixth placed Africa Nazarene make the short trip to meet Multimedia University.
The match between Strathmore Leos II and Technical University of Kenya has been postponed to a later date.
