It’s a battle for the second to fourth place in the Varsities conference heading into week nine with bottom of the table Multimedia hosting fourth placed Technical University of Kenya in Rongai as second from bottom Co-operative make the journey to Athi River to meet promotion chasing Daystar University who lie second on the log. Leaders MKU Nairobi will be out to extend their massive 11 point lead over Daystar when they face third placed KCA in fixture slated for the Railway Club.
Action in the Clubs conference sees sixth placed Stormers welcome third placed COMRAS to their home venue in Kitengela while Ngong RFC, imperious all season and sitting pretty atop the conference with a 100% record boasting seven wins from seven outings will be battle it out away to fifth placed Northern Suburbs in the noon kickoff at the KCB Sports Club.

Second placed Kiambu RFC host leaders Embu RFC at in the region’s top of the table clash at NIBS Kiambu.The region will also witness an all varsity clash pitting third placed MKU Thika against Dedan Kimathi University at The Happy Valley in Thika.

Long term leaders Menengai Oilers make the 227km road trip to Kitale town, facing sixth placed Kitale RFC as they maintain their quest for Championship promotion. Basement side Kapsabet will host second placed Egerton Wasps at the Nandi Bears while former Kenya Cup side Eldoret RFC take on visiting Molo RFC at the Moi Annex. Technical University of Mombasa will be out to maintain top spot when they meet seventh placed Shephards RFC in the 2:00pm kickoff at the Malindi high School, paving the way for the Malindi RFC vs Sharks RFC which kicks off at 4:00pm at the samel. The Mombasa Sports Club will host the other two matches pitting Taita Taveta University against Coast Raiders at 2:00pm followed by the Spartans and Shoxxs RFC Taita match kicking off at 4:00pm.
