Resolution Impala Saracens Head Coach Fred Ollows looks forward to an exciting duel against champions KCB when the two sides meet in the Impala Floodlit final at the Impala Club on Saturday 31 October.

In an interview with the Kenya Cup website, Ollows said, ” KCB are the defending champions of Floodlit  (as well as Kenya and Enterprise Cups). They will be a bruising opponent. Nonetheless, we wholeheartedly welcome the challenge. We challenged them hard in last season’s Enterprise Cup semi final and have come a long way since. We look forward to an exciting match.”

Speaking about his team’s run to the final, the former Impala and Kenya international half-back said, ” The team has worked hard in the pre – season and would love to crown the effort with a win of our own tournament which we last won in 2010. So far, the campaign has been good with unprecedented wins against our perennial rivals, Kenya Harlequins, and Strathmore Leos, who we haven’t beaten in four seasons.”

Ollows also noted the contributions of the playing unit, saying, ” with the sort of performances we have had so far, most of the players have been outstanding. (Fly half) Nato Simiyu and (lock) Erick Kerre excelled in the first weekend against Quins, while (hooker) Edgar Obino and (blindside winger) Sidney Muniafu stood out versus Strathmore. But, only just since all units have been functional.”

The Sarries will be out to lift a seventh floodies title as they seek to add to titles won in 1999,2000,2001,2004, 2009 and 2010.
