While the Kenya Cup final may probably be hogging the spotlight, action in the second tier Championship continues this weekend with former Kenya Cup sides Western Bulls and Mean Machine clashing in the highlight fixture at The Bullring in Kakamega.
Bulls come into this fixture having recently defeated Oilers 31-26 at the same venue. They sit third on the log on 47 points, seven adrift of Machine and will be out dig deep and win as this will cut the gap between them to just three points, giving them the momentum to challenge for a top two finish ahead of the playoffs.
Leaders Menengai Oilers have a relatively straightforward fixture against bottom of the table JKUAT Cougars at the Moi Showground in Nakuru. The Oilers should emerge from this encounter unscathed as they continue their march to securing a home semifinal.
