The leading trio are all away as the KRU Championship enters match day 7. Leaders Menengai Oilers are away to Moi University. The Oilers won the first leg fixture 65-10 on Saturday 2 December 2017 and start as favorites to complete the double against the Arsonists.

Second placed Mean Machine make the journey to Ukunda also keen to complete the double against the South Coast Pirates whom they vanquished 27-8 in the first leg while Western Bulls, 41-10 winners over University of Eldoret when the two sides met in Kakamega two months ago embark on the 93km journey to face the Trojans in the return leg in Eldoret.

The Catholic Monks fell to a shock 17-20 away to Championship newbies Ngong Warriors but have the opportunity to turn that around when they welcome Ngong for the return leg at the Catholic University campus in Karen, perhaps an opportunity for the Monks to turn into prayer warriors and not only avenge the first leg loss but also gather crucial points in the quest for playoff and eventual Kenya Cup
qualification.

The other fixtures on the cards pit Kisumu against Egerton Wasps while USIU are at home to JKUAT Cougars.
