The Kenya Cup is the top tier club rugby union championship in Kenya organized by the Kenya Rugby Union. For the 2016-2017 season, twelve teams compete in two pools with the top six qualifying for a knock-out tournament to determine the overall winner.
The Kenya Cup was founded in 1970 by the newly formed Kenya Rugby Football Union with the first championship won by Impala RFC.Kabras Sugar are the 2015–2016 champions after a 22-5 victory over Impala RFC in the final contested on 7 May 2016 at the Impala Club.
