The 2026 Enterprise Cup Final is set to light up RFUEA Grounds on Saturday, 30th May, with Kenyan giants Kabras Sugar RFC taking on Uganda’s Stanbic Black Pirates in what promises to be a thrilling cross-border rugby showdown. The highly anticipated clash will kick off at 3:00 PM as two of East Africa’s top sides battle for the oldest rugby trophies that exist in the region.

For Kabras Sugar, this year’s final carries even greater significance as the Kakamega-based side chases a historic sixth consecutive Enterprise Cup title, having now featured in every final since 2021. The defending champions have once again shown their dominance throughout the campaign, powering through the competition with a series of commanding performances.

Kabras began their knockout journey in emphatic fashion on 21st March in Uganda, where they dismantled Platinum Credit Heathens 61-19 in the cross-border quarter-finals. They then returned home to the ASK Showground Kakamega where they edged out last year’s finalists Menengai Oilers 29-18 .With another final now within reach, Kabras head into the game full of confidence and eager to successfully defend their title once more.

Standing in their way, however, will be a determined Stanbic Black Pirates side that has quietly carved out one of the tournament’s most impressive campaigns. The Ugandan outfit became the only Ugandan team to progress beyond the semi-finals and into the final.Their journey to the final began with a narrow but crucial 11-10 victory over Kenyan powerhouse KCB Rugby in the quarter-finals held in Uganda on 21st March. The Pirates then followed it up with another hard-fought performance in the semi-finals, narrowly defeating Nondescripts RFC 20-17 at Kings Park Arena on 11th April to seal their  place in the final

Adding even more excitement to the occasion is the fact that the final will take place alongside the Rugby Africa Women’s Cup, which runs from 21st to 31st May in Nairobi. The tournament will feature also feature the Kenya Lionesses and the Uganda Lady Cranes.
