Resolution Kisii RFC and USIU continued with their winning ways after beating Kisumu 27-3 and Moi University 22-17 respectively on match day 5 of the KRU Championship. Elsewhere Thika RFC managed to get their second win thrashing JKUAT 34-17 as Mombasa had their first loss in the hands of South Coast Pirates 12-16.

This is after these teams failed to honor 3 consecutive matches and as discussed and advised by the 2016-2017 League Committee at a League Committee meeting held on 24th November 2016. All rules with respect to disqualification of a team from a Competition as per the 2016-2017 League manuals have been taken to consideration and effected in the standings.
