The USIU-Egerton Wasps match ended in a 14 all draw at the USIU Grounds. At the Catholic University Grounds, Northern Suburbs beat the Catholic Monks 25-13. Monks opened up the match with two unconverted tries in the 18th and 25th minutes of the match before Northern Suburbs found their footing in the 27th to kick in a penalty narrowing the gap to 3-10. Suburbs raked twelve more points as Brian Mutugi and Brian Omondi went over the whitewash with the fylhalf on duty, F. Onyango converting Omondi’s try for a 15-10 score at the breather.
Monks opened up the second half with a penalty off their fly half’s boot for a 15-13 but this would be their last score of the day. Suburbs were however not content with their score as they registered another ten points in the last 15 minutes of the match. One converted try and a penalty kick bringing the full time score to 25-15.
Strathmore Leos and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology(MMUST)continue their unbeaten run as they registered 57-0 and 22-3 wins over the South Coast Pirates and University of Eldoret respectively. The Mean Machine beat Mombasa 40-9 at the UoN grounds while Kisii RFC suffered a 5-26 loss in the hands of Eldoret RFC.
