Tanga, Dukisa stay top of Kenya Cup scoring charts

Brian Tanga leads the trying scoring charts heading into the Kenya Cup final on Saturday 4 September at the Nandi Bears Club. The Kabras Sugar back has landed 7 tries, one more than the chasing duo of Curtis Lilako (KCB) and Bethuel Muteshi (Strathmore Leos) who have scored 6 tries apiece.

Menengai Oilers Timothy Okwemba and KCB’s Felix Ojow are joint third on 5 tries while other players – Matoka Matoka (Strathmore Leos), Johnstone Olindi (KCB), Felix Ayange, Derrick Ashiundu (Kabras Sugar) and Herman Humwa (Kenya Harlequin) are on 4 tries each.

Kabras Sugar’s Ntabeni Dukisa continues to lead the points scoring charts.  The utility back has a cumulative points tally of 103 points coming off 3 tries, 7 penalties and 36 conversions.

KCB’s Darwin Mukidza is a distant second on 49 points coming off 1 try, 6 penalties and 13 conversions.

Nondescripts’ Kanyiri Kariuki is third on 40 points – having scored 10 penalties and 5 conversions as Brunson Madigu of Strathmore sits fourth on 39 points, having scored 3 tries and 8 penalties.
