Homeboyz stayed unbeaten in 2015, handing Pan Africa Strathmore Leos  their first defeat of the season courtesy of an 18-15 result at the KCB Sports Club in Ruaraka.

Kenny Andola put Strathmore ahead with a third minute penalty but Haroun Lubisia replied for the deejays with a penalty four minutes later.

Dan Othieno would score against his former side, Andola converting to see Strathmore lead 10-3 but things would soon change, Strath backrow Elton Isiaho sin binned and handing Homeboyz the numerical advantage. Felix Ojow would score for Homeboyz, bringing the score to 10-8 before Lubisia scored and converted his own try to put Homeboyz 15-10 up at the break.

The match would remain a close affair in the second half, Strathmore leveling through Tony Onyango’s unconverted try before Lubisia killed off the Leos with a drop goal that sealed the 18-15 result, ending the Leos unbeaten run.

The result saw Homeboyz return to sixth on the log while the Leos slipped from second to third.
