Week eight of the Kenya Cup League handed the Strathmore Leos their maiden win of the season at the Jamhuri Showgrounds when they beat the Menengai Cream Homeboyz RFC 20-14. The very much needed win has seen the Leos move up one place on the standings; from 12th to 11th. Mean Machine, lost 3-17 to Nondies at the Impala Grounds a performance that drops them to the 12th position on the log.

The ever exciting Ngong Road Derby and the second double header match at the Impala Grounds proved that Kenya Harlequins are indeed sure, strong and superior as they beat their neighbours Impala Saracens 37-24. Quins remain third while Impala have dropped to the seventh team on the log.

On Thika Super Highway, KCB left nothing to chance as they hammered Top Fry Nakuru RFC 49-6 at the KCB Sports Club Ruaraka while Menengai Cream Oilers beat their hosts Blakblad 24-13 bagging their second win of the season at the Kenyatta University. The two teams have switched positions on the log, Oilers are now ninth while Blakblad have dropped to tenth. KCB remains second on the table while Nakuru are eighth.

Kakamega hosted the clash between Kabras RFC and Stanbic Mwamba saw the hosts remain top of the Kenya Cup standings with a total of 40 points after collecting five bonus points in their matches. They beat Kulabu 46-15 at the ASK Kakamega Showgrounds. Mwamba are fifth on the log with 22 points.

In the Championship League: The Catholic Monks and USIU are now tied in the first two positions with 31 points each having won seven of their eight matches and lost one. Monks beat the University of Eldoret 24-5 while USIU handed MMUST a 27-8 loss. Regional Logistics Mombasa RFC survived a Kisumu scare as they beat them 15-13 at the Mombasa Sports Club. Kisumu however remain fourth on the log while Mombasa is fifth. Third placed Western Bulls maintained their position after their 15-8 win over the Ngong Warriors while Ngong are seventh.

South Coast Pirates are still twelfth on the log. They were awarded a walk over as Resolution Kisii RFC were unable to make the trip down to Ukunda while tenth placed Egerton Wasps beat the Kitale RFC 12-11.
