Stanbic Mwamba registered their first win of the 2018/2019 season on Saturday 8th December at the Jamhuri Showgrounds as they beat Nondescripts 13-12.

Kulabu was leading 10-0 at the stroke with tries from Felix Otieno and Greg Odhiambo. Second half saw Nondies come back rejuvenated and ready to claim their fourth win of the season but a clinical Mwamba would have none of it. Nondies scored two tries through Moses Begi and Francis Mutuku while Martin Juma managed to add one conversion for Nondies to take the 12-10 lead.

With ten minutes left into the match, a Nondies infringement in their 22 saw Mwamba opt to boot in the three points and Eugene Nzioka did not disappoint as he split the posts giving Mwamba the one-point lead that they held onto till the referee called it full time.

At the RFUEA Grounds, a very spirited Mean Machine suffered a 19-22 loss to Resolution Impala Saracens. The two teams were leveled at 19 all but a last minute penalty against Machine saw Impala boot in three points securing their fourth consecutive win.The second match at the RFUEA Grounds saw KCB beat the Kenya Harlequins 22-13.
