In week twelve of the KRU Championship, Western Bulls host Masinde Muliro University at the Bull Ring. As it stands, Bulls are top of the Championship table with 41 points gathered from the nine matches won, one draw and one loss. Their opponents of the day, MMUST, on the other hand have picked up 23 points so far in the league having won six matches and lost five. MMUST are ranked fifth on the log, five points behind the fourth placed Kisumu RFC.
Kisumu will host the University of Eldoret at the Kisumu Polytechnic. The two sides are fourth and sixth respectively on the log with 28 and 22 points. The hosts having won five matches so far while UoE have won four.
The weekend’s University derby will be at the USIU Grounds when ninth placed Egerton make the 2hour journey down to face the third placed USIU. The two teams head into this match having lost their Week eleven matches. USIU going 6-13 down to Western Bulls while Egerton Wasps lost 11-13 to Kisumu.
The Catholic Monks and the South Coast Pirates match will take place at the CUEA Grounds in Karen. Monks are second on the log with 39 points while Pirates have 17 points and sit at the eleventh position. Pirates drew with University of Eldoret 20-20 at the UoE grounds last weekend while Monks lost 9-15 to Kisii at the Kisii University.
Ngong welcome the Regional Logistics Mombasa RFC this weekend for their week 12 clash. Ngong have lost eight matches and won three while their opponents have won five matches and lost six. The two are separated by six points, Ngong are last on the log with 15 points while Mombasa are seventh with 21 points.
The last fixture in this league is between Kitale and Kisii, both sides won their matches last weekend and are now ranked tenth and eighth respectively and are separated by three points. Kitale have 18 points and Kisii have 15 points.
