Mwamba RFC aims to finish their remaining fixtures strongly and secure a play off spot as the Kenya Cup’s league phase draws to a close.

Kulabu sit at fifth position with 25 points six adrift of newcomers Kabras RFC. Kabras travel to Railways Grounds this weekend in a potentially season defining encounter with the Black Shirts.

Homeboyz RFC are breathing hard on Mwamba’s necks with 23 points as they host league leaders Nakuru RFC in another crunch encounter.

However, Kulabu will miss the services of top try scorer Collins Injera, Dan Sikuta and veteran fly half Lavin Asego who have all been called up to the national sevens squad for New Zealand and US World Rugby Sevens Series legs.

Michael Agevi broke his arm during the tough KCB RFC match and he will be sidelined for six weeks. Scrumhalf Victor Wayodi limped out of the Nakuru match and he’s also a doubt as the coaches wait for report from the medical team.
