Masinde Muliro registered their maiden win of the season, defeating hosts Homeboyz 21-10 at the Jamhuri Park.
Homeboyz’ Martin Juma and Masinde Muliro’s Timothy Mmasi traded penalties, the match tied at 3-3 at the twenty minute mark before another Mmasi penalty gave them a 6-3 lead at the break.
A second half penalty from Felix Wamocho and a Collins Ngoko try gave Masinde Muliro a 14-3 lead after the restart before Wamocho converted Caleb Owino’s try for a 21-3 score. The deejays scored a converted consolation try, too little, too late.
Strathmore Leos upset the Menengai Oilers with a 25-21 victory at Madaraka while Blak Blad won the varsity derby with a 35-27 victory over Mean Machine at the Kenyatta University.
