Mwamba kept their playoff dream alive with a hard fought 22-17 win over Kabras Sugar at the Impala Club.

Kulabu went 5-0 up through Brian Otieno’s unconverted try but Kabras replied in kind, Gerald Ssewankambo touching down with Aluda Beda converting to put them 7-5 up.

Beda converted Daniel Odongo’s try to Kabras go 14-5 up at the interval.

Mwamba turned up for the second half rejuvenated, cutting the deficit to 14-12 when Shaban Ahmed converted Louis Kisia’s try.

A Beda penalty following a Mwamba infringement extended Kabras lead to 17-12 but the sugar men fell behind for good when Ahmed converted Horace Otieno’s try for a 19-17 score.

George Mutuku killed off the game for Mwamba, drilling home a penalty for the 22-17 full time score.
