A much needed 23-15 win for the Catholic Monks over opponents Northern Suburbs saw them survive the relegation scare from the KRU Championship league.
Strathmore Leos finish the regular league unbeaten after ending their season with a 40-20 win over the South Coast Pirates down in Ukunda followed by Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology who are second on the log with 15 wins and one loss. MMUST survived a narrow scare from the University of Eldoret Trojans beating them 7-6 in Eldoret. Mean Machine beat Mombasa RFC 18-13 at the Mombasa Sports Club.
Other results in the Championship league saw Kisii RFC beat Eldoret 13-8 while USIU handed Egerton a 13-18 loss.
