Catholic Monks and Mean Machine returned to the Kenya Cup after navigating through tough KRU Championship semifinal fixture on Saturday 19 March 2022.
Monks edged out Shamas Rugby Foundation 9-5 at the RFUEA while Mean Machine, Kenya Cup champions in 1977,1989 and 1990 edged hosts South Coast Pirates 20-14 in Ukunda.
Monks last featured in the Kenya Cup during the 2014/15 season while Machine return for their third stint in the league, the first lasting between 1977 and 2016/2017 before returning for the 2018/19 season.
The two sides will face off in the KRU Championship final on Saturday 26 March 2022.
