Top Fry Nakuru and debutantes Catholic Monks have named their match day squads ahead of their Kenya Cup match day one fixture at the Nakuru Athletic Club on Saturday 8 November 2014.
This match is on paper, a David v Goliath battle, the Monks out to express themselves and probably even claim the scalp of the two time Kenya Cup times who will be out to stamp their authority against the league debutantes.
Nakuru Head Coach Dominique Habimana has opted to rest many of his experienced lot, handing starts to many of his fringe players. He said, “ The plan is to blood these players with the more experienced players and help them get a feel of the league. “
Catholic Monks Head Coach Simon Jawichre said this week, “ We aim to compete. It is an uphill task but we are here to fight and our objectives are clear in that we have to survive the season. This first game will determine the rest of the season. This game could either set us up for the season or kill us.”
