The third tier KRU Nationwide league kick off on Saturday 26 November 2022 with action across the Nairobi, Coast, Rift Valley, Western and Central regions.
NAIROBI
MKU Nairobi and Machakos University went toe to toe in their fixture, MKU just shading it 26-20 while Cooperative University claimed a one point victory over Multimedia University, winning this one 20-19.
KCA Sparxx also pulled off a narrow 5-3 win over Nazerene University while newcomers Stallions were too strong for TUK, defeating them 30-3.
There was one match played in the club category, Stormers edging Masaku 11-10.
COAST
Newly formed Kilifi began life in competitive rugby with a 29-5 victory over the South Coast Buccaneers as Mombasa posted a massive 65-3 victory over Taita Taveta.
RIFT VALLEY
High scores characterized action in the Rift Valley as Kitale defeated National Youth Service 37-3 with Moi University defeating Kericho 71-0.
WESTERN
Kisii registered the highest score in the Western region, defeating Siaya 51-0.
Other fixtures in the region were characterized by close scores, CITAM Kisumu edging out Rongo 21-13 with Jaramogi University defeating Mbale 13-10.
Kibabii University were 11-8 winners over Shamberere as Bungoma fell to a 10-14 defeat at home to Webuye.
CENTRAL
Kenya Prisons were 30-24 winners away to Meru as JKUAT Cougars defeated Chuka University 15-9. MKU Thika edged out Embu 12-10.
