The Nationwide League wrapped up the regional finals on the 6th of April.
The Northern Suburbs Cubs claimed the Nairobi Region victory over Stingers beating them 19-3, JKUAT Cougars are the Central region champions after seeing off the Chuka Vikings 16-7. In the Rift Valley Region, Moi University secured their National playoff position after beating Eldoret RFC 27-8. Maseno beat Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology 6-3 claiming the Western Region victory while TUM beat Malindi RFC 26-18 in the Coast Region final.
On the 27th, the finalists in Western Region, Nairobi Region and Rift Valley Region will all proceed to the National playoffs where they’ll be joined by the winners of the Coast and Central Regions.
QF 1: Western Region Rank 1 (Maseno) vs Coast Region Rank 1(TUM)
QF 2: Rift Valley Region Rank 1(Moi University) vs Central Region Rank 1(JKUAT Cougars)
QF 3: Nairobi Region Rank 1 (Northern Suburbs) vs Western Region Rank 2(Jaramogi Uni)
QF 4: Rift Valley Region Rank 2 (Eldoret RFC) vs Nairobi Region Rank 2 (Stingers)
On the 4th of May, the winner of the QF 1 clash will play the QF 4 winner in the first semifinal while the winners of the QF 2 and QF 3 will meet in the second semifinal. The eventual winners in the semifinals will face off on the 18th of May in the National Nationwide League Final to determine the winner, however both teams will have earned a promotion to the 2019-2020 KRU Championship Season.
