Six Nationwide fixtures on the cards this weekend

There will be a total of six fixtures in the Nationwide Regional Leagues this weekend. Nairobi Region will host five fixtures in its Universities category while the Central Region hosts a solitary fixture.

Early season pacesetters Administration Police Warriors will be at home to Strathmore Catulus at the Administration Police Training College in Embakasi. AP currently sit second on the Universities log in Nairobi, unbeaten after three matches with 15 points, having registered bonus point victories in each of their three wins. Strathmore Catulus are fourth on the table with 11 points coming off two wins and a solitary defeat. This match has all the ingredients of being an entertaining fixture.

Leaders Daystar Falcons will be out to maintain their 100% start to the campaign when they play away to Nazarene at the latter’s home venue in Rongai. The Falcons have averaged 60 points a game but will have their work cut out against a Nazerene side who currently sit sixth on the log, having accumulated 8 points off two wins and a solitary defeat.

Third placed MKU Nairobi are “on the road”, playing away to eighth placed Technical University of Kenya (TUK) at the Co-operative University in Karen. Like the sides in positions one and two, MKU Nairobi boast a 100% record but sit third due to an inferior points tally, having garnered 13 points in their three victories to date. They face a TUK side that is winless thus far and has additionally shipped in an average of 50 points per game.

Other fixtures in Nairobi will pit bottom sides Multimedia against Catholic Monks II while KCA Sparxx will be seeking their first win of the season when they host Co-operative University in Ruaraka.

The solitary fixture in the Central Region pits Meru against Chuka. Chuka come into this tie placed fifth in Central having registered a win, a draw and a loss, collecting 5 points in the process while Meru are placed seventh with 3 points, having won once, lost one and given away a walkover.
