SportPesa Quins stayed top of the Kenya Cup log with a comprehensive 39-22 result away to the Strathmore Leos in Madaraka on Saturday 12 November 2016.

It was a rampant display of rugby early on from the Ngong Road based side, Pius Shiundu converted James Kang’ethe’s try for a 7-0 lead before getting on the score sheet to give his side a 12-0 lead.

Elton Isiaho would land an unconverted for Strathmore but Eric Shikuku landed an unconverted try to see Quins take a 17-5 lead at the interval.

Jared Owinyo would find himself on the scoresheet after the restart, Quins going 22-5 up before further tries from Dennis Muhanji and Dennis Omusula gave Quins a 32-5 lead, the game far away from Strathmore’s reach.

Ted Dondi scored a second try for the Leos before Kevin Keegan converted Shiundu’s try with the scores reading 39-10 to the visitors.  Churchill Ooko and Elkeans Musonye found themselves on the scoresheet, Kanyiri Kariuki slotting home one conversion.
