It is semifinal Saturday in the Women’s Kenya Cup.
Defending champions Mwamba take on Western Spears while Impala Roans are up against Northern Suburbs in the second semifinal.
Mwamba finished second in the regular season, six points adrift of Impala who inflicted the sole defeat to the black shirts.
Western Spears, in their maiden season in the Women’s Kenya Cup, set up the date with Mwamba by virtue of a third place finish in the regular season with three wins and three losses in their six outings.
Impala have been perfect throughout the campaign, winning all their six matches. They have set their sights on lifting the title that they missed out on when they fell to Mwamba in the title decider.
Northern Suburbs made it to the semis after a fourth place regular season and will be out to cause an upset by defeating Impala to storm the final.
