The KRU Championship league entered its match day five with five fixtures taking place. Log leaders Catholic Monks survived a Kabarak University scare, winning 28-25.
Second placed Mean Machine left nothing to chance when they took on Thika Road side USIU, beating them 30-3 to secure their fourth win in five outings. At the Ngong Racecourse, Shamas Rugby Foundation beat the University of Eldoret 12-6.
In Western Region, hosts Western Bulls secured their two-point victory over Eldoret RFC beating them 8-6 while away in Kisumu, hosts Kisumu RFC secured their first victory beating South Coast Pirates 28-24.
The Egerton Wasps versus Northern Suburbs match was postponed to a later date.
