The pre-season Impala Floodlit tournament draws to a close tomorrow at the Impala Club with hosts and defending champions Resolution Impala Saracens taking on KCB in the top bill club final at 7.00pm.
The Sarries received a quarterfinal bye before securing their final berth by way of a 20-10 semifinal disposal of Mean Machine while KCB took the less scenic,more treacherous route, posting a nervy 20-14 quarterfinal win over newbies Resolution Kisii before registering an 18-16 result in that semifinal arm wrestle with Menengai Cream Homeboyz.
This action will be preceded by the plate final between SportPesa Quins, who exited the cup competition by way of a 20-16 quarterfinal loss to Homeboyz before beating Kisii 43-19 to secure a date against the Strathmore Leos. The Leos received a bye to this final after losing 11-6 to Mean Machine in the cup quarters.
Menengai Oilers put their title on the line when they face the Catholic Monks in the universities final while Homeboyz and Mean Machine get the day’s proceedings underway when they face off in the clubs category third place playoff.
