KCB marched to their fifth win on the trot as the Eric Shirley Shield entered match day five this past weekend. The defending champions stayed top of the table with a 43-11 win over Homeboyz, taking their points tally to 25. Second placed Kabras posted a 66-0 win over Blak Blad to consolidate second position on 21 points coming off four wins and one defeat.

Resolution Impala Saracens were also victorious, posting a 34-0 win away in Kisumu, a result that saw them usurp third position from Stanbic Mwamba who were denied a bonus point in the 13-10 victory over Nondescripts, a result that saw the black shirts slip to fourth on the log.

Menengai Oilers returned to winning ways with a 27-19 victory over Kenya Harlequin, climbing one place up to fifth on 19 points, four clear of sixth placed Homeboyz.

Nondies, 13-10 losers to Mwamba and Top Fry Nakuru, 22-20 winners away to Western Bulls occupy seventh and eighth positions tied on 9 points each.

Blak Blad, Kenya Harlequin, Kisumu and Western Bulls round off the ESS bottom four.
