The curtains fall on the inaugural Victoria 15s pre-season tournament when Kenya Cup champions Kabras Sugar and town rivals Masinde Muliro clash in the final at the Kakamega Showground at 4.00pm on Saturday 12 November 2022.
The two sides have been in good form heading into the championship match, and have certainly jumped at the opportunity to use this tournament as a build up to the 2022/23 league season which kicks off in just over two weeks.
To reach the final, Kabras overcame hosts Kisumu 14-10 in last weekend’s semifinal action at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Mamboleo. They had earlier registered a 46-0 win over Mbale in the quarter.
Masinde Muliro, on the other hand began their campaign with a 51-0 quarterfinal victory over Eldoret before defeating local rivals Western Bulls 29-10 in last weekend’s semifinal in Kisumu.
This final fixture will be preceded by the third place playoff between Kisumu and Western Bulls.
