Mean Machine have conceded 113 points in their opening two fixtures of the current Kenya Cup league, having lost 6-72 to Menengai Oilers and 0-41 to Kabras Sugar.

In spite of this all, Head Coach Nick Abok remains optimistic, especially after his side’s most recent outing.

Speaking to Nation Sport after Saturday’s home defeat to Kabras Sugar, the former Impala winger said, “We are being welcomed to the Kenya Cup now and facing two top teams, Oilers and then Kabras, was bound to be tough as we lost possession in contact.”

He expects an improvement from his side as the season wears on.

Machine, winners of the Kenya Cup in 1977,1989 and 1990 will be up against Catholic Monks in match day 3 action on Saturday 10 December 2022.
