Two rounds into the new Kenya Cup season and it is Beldad Ogeta leading the try scoring charts. The Menengai Oilers winger has scored a league leading 5 tries.

He is followed by Kabras Sugar’s Derrick Ashihundu on 4 tries with KCB’s Austin Sikutwa and Kabras Sugar’s George Nyambua on 3 tries each.

Another 18 players are on 2 tries each.

Ogeta also leads the overall scoring charts, joint top with Sikutwa on 25 points with Samuel Omolo from Catholic Monks second on 22 points. Ashihundu is third on 20 points. Ntabeni Dukisa rounds off the top four on 18 points.

Quinto Ongo leads the KRU Championship scoring stats, having touched down a season leading 3 times and accumulating a total of 26 points. The Impala winger is followed on the try scorers charts by Patrick Odongo (Daystar Falcons), Brian Ocheng (Impala) and Augustine Owino (Daystar Falcons) on 2 tries each.

He also leads the points scorers ahead of David Masinga (JKUAT Cougars,19 ppoints) and Eddy Wambugu (Daystar Falcons, 14 points).
