There was a big win for Kenya Harlequin courtesy of the 52-3 result over Homeboyz in match day 3 action at the Impala Club on Saturday 9 December 2023.

Mike Onsando’s try and Richel Wangila’s conversion saw Quins go 7-0 up from a strong start at kickoff.

The game ebbed and flowed, the only remarkable moment of the opening twenty minutes seeing the first red card of the season flash as Homeboyz captain Patrick Mwakina was sent off for punching.

Quins also went down to 14 as Cornelius Mokoro was yellow carded for his part in the exchange of punches.

Wangila soon replaced Mokoro in the bin after being carded for leading by elbow.

Quins remained on the front foot, Nyang attacking from deep, leaving his opponents for dead to score under the posts, Mokoro converting as Quins led 21-0 at half time.

Sheldon Kahi and Paul Mutsami landed twice upon the restart, Mokoro with two conversions before Amon Wamalwa’s try took Quins to 40-0 up.

Kahi’s brace took the score to 45-0.

Wangila scored and converted his try for 52-0 before Martin Juma got a consolation for Homeboyz with a drop goal.
