Defending champions Mwamba began their Women’s Kenya Cup campaign on a winning note, defeating hosts and arch rivals Impala 21-7 in match day 1 action at the Impala Club on Saturday 27 January 2024.
Northern Suburbs won away, defeating hosts Nakuru 12-7 at the Nakuru Athletic Club while Rongo University were 27-14 winners over visiting Maseno.
Shamberere benefitted from a 28-0 walkover following Western Spears’no show.
