Following the 17-20 defeat to Homeboyz on week eight of the Kenya Cup, the four point gap between log leaders Kabras and KCB has been reduced to a single point. Kabras who were unbeaten with a total of 34 points as last weekend only picked up a losing bonus on 14th December as they fell to a determined Homeboyz RFC.

Second placed  KCB were the 15-5 victors in their nervy encounter against Resolution Impala Saracens at the KCB Sports Club in Ruaraka. The Bankers adding four points to their season tally, moving from 30 to 34 points as the regular league season reached the half point mark. Homeboyz RFC also picked up four points after their encounter with the Kakamega based Kabras Sugar RFC.

Despite the loss at the Den, Impala remains fourth on the log with 25 points but is closely followed by Menengai Oilers who collected maximum points from their match against Kisumu RFC at the Nakuru Athletics Club. Stanbic Mwamba’s loss to Western Bulls drops them to sixth place with 20 points.

The last six positions on the log remain unchanged though Top Fry Nakuru, Nondescripts and Western Bulls were winners in their encounters thus an increase in the point tally.
