Menengai Oilers ended KCB’s unbeaten record with a 21-7 win at the Nakuru Showground on Saturday 2 March 2024.
Jadah Abdon gave Oilers the lead, touching down with Abutwalib Wesonga converting for a 7-0 lead before Lionel Ajeliti scored and converted his own try to draw KCB level, the scores 7-7.
Another Wesonga penalty took Oilers 10-7 up into the half time break.
He would then drill over a penalty and drop goal to give the home side a 16-7 lead before Clinton Odhiambo killed off the match with an unconverted to secure the result.
Despite the result, both sides remain positions on the log remain unchanged, Oilers third on 37 points while KCB are second on 44 points and assured of a home semifinal spot.
